Our Mission

At Friends of Saint Gianna, our mission is simple: to help people encounter Jesus Christ through the witness and intercession of Saint Gianna Beretta Molla.

Whether someone is seeking holiness in everyday life, praying for a holy marriage, embracing the vocation of motherhood or fatherhood, longing for children, grieving pregnancy loss, carrying the burden of illness, or simply desiring to grow closer to God, we hope to provide opportunities for prayer, encouragement and growth in faith.

Inspired by Saint Gianna's extraordinary witness of ordinary holiness, we seek to accompany individuals, married couples, parents, families and parishes through prayer, charity and devotion.

Prayer Cards

We freely distribute Friends of Saint Gianna prayer cards to encourage devotion to Saint Gianna and to invite people to seek her intercession.

Each prayer card has been reverently touched to a first-class and/or second-class relic of Saint Gianna as a devotional practice, offering those who receive them a tangible reminder of Saint Gianna's loving intercession and an encouragement to place their trust in God's providence.

Relic Veneration Gatherings

We organise opportunities for the faithful to venerate relics of Saint Gianna in a spirit of reverence and prayer.

The veneration of relics is a treasured tradition within the Catholic Church, reminding us that the saints are alive in Christ and continue to intercede for us before the throne of God. Through these gatherings, we hope people encounter not only the witness of Saint Gianna's holy life, but also a deeper love for Jesus Christ and His Church.

We invite those who have experienced answered prayers, favours received or other graces through the intercession of Saint Gianna to share their testimony.

Every story of God's faithfulness encourages others to persevere in prayer and gives glory to Him for the many ways He continues to work through His saints.

Charity

Inspired by Saint Gianna's generous love for others, Friends of Saint Gianna seeks to put faith into action through works of charity.

One of the ways we do this is by regularly supporting Mary's Meals, an international charity that provides a daily school meal to children living in some of the world's poorest communities. By serving nutritious meals in a place of education, Mary's Meals not only helps relieve hunger but also encourages children to attend school, offering hope for a brighter future.

Supporting Mary's Meals is one small way we seek to imitate Saint Gianna's compassionate heart by caring for the dignity of every human person and serving Christ in those most in need.
